A WOMAN who had sex with four teenage boys has walked free from court after being handed a suspended prison sentence.

Laura O'Donnell, 20, pleaded guilty and was convicted in the County Court of four counts of sexual penetration of a child under 16 and five counts of committing an indecent act with a child under 16.

Court documents reveal she plied the boys, aged 12, 15, and two aged 14, with alcohol on three separate occasions. The first two involved one victim and the third, all four.

A male model accused of beating up his girlfriend after a night out at a swingers party has told a jury he only slapped her because she was 'wasted' on drugs.

Patrick Ribbsaeter, 32, is alleged to have attacked Wachiraporn Sara-Pod because he believed she had sex with another man during the exclusive 'Killing Kittens' sex party in London’s West End.

The Old Bailey has been told that he throttled the 29-year-old and slammed her head against the dashboard of her Landrover Discovery as they drove back to his flat.

Prime Minister Najib Razak and his Umno-BN coalition have been accused of offering as much as RM160 million to lure 8 Opposition lawmakers to leave their parties and become Independent Members of Parliament.

Such a move was aimed at discrediting Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, who is the PKR adviser and widely regarded as the glue that binds the tripartite coalition together.

"There was an attempt to lure eight Parti Keadilan Rakyat MPs as a package. The offer began with RM10 million a person, but after negotiations it was raised to RM20million," Tanah Merah MP Amran Abdul Ghani told a press conference on Thursday.

GEORGE TOWN - Seven people walked past snatch theft victim Tan Kim Chuan, 60, without lifting a finger to help her as she lay unconscious on the road with a cracked skull at the Rifle Range flats.

CCTV footage showed her lying on the road for about seven minutes.

Kim Chuan, who fell and knocked her head on the road in the 6.02am incident on Tuesday, succumbed to her injuries nine hours later at the Penang Hospital.

Photos of two children bound in chains at a government-run welfare home in China have shocked the nation, which has an estimated 712,000 orphans.

The pictures were taken during mealtime when both boys were locked up while eating. They depict Xiao Qun tethered to the back of an old wooden chair by a strip of cloth around his neck. Next to him is eight-year old Guo Cheng, whose right foot was tied to the same chair by an iron chain.

An anonymous staff member told the provincial daily Modern Gold News that the children were tied up after they kept running and playing in the rain, a day before. "They wet their clothing three times, prompting us to lock them up to stop them from going outside," said the staff.

Malay “kebodohan (stupidity)” had resulted in a major ethnic group bowing down to demands of minority groups, which includes the government recognition of certificates by TARC (Tunku Abdul Rahman College), said former premier Mahathir Mohamad.

PUTRAJAYA - The woman suspect who was shot by police after going on a rampage with a male accomplice outside Complex B of the Prime Minister's Department yesterday, had checked on her two small children at her parents' house in Damansara near here, two days ago.

Her father, 55, a nasi lemak seller, said she had asked that the children, aged two and one, to be cared for and thought that his daughter was going outstation on work matters.

He said his daughter, the second of four siblings, worked as an assistant manager at a private company but apparently had stopped work without the parents knowledge.

If MCA thought it could provoke DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and his wife Betty Chew into a rash reaction by smearing them in the Malacca state assembly where Betty is the Kota Laksamana representative, they are wrong.

Police opened fire at a couple, who were brandishing 'samurai' swords allegedly in an aggressive manner outside Block B1 of the Prime Minister's Department in Putrajaya on Monday.

According to the Star newspaper, the man who was shot in the left arm and leg succumbed to his injuries at the Putrajaya Hospital.

The shocking news stirred up concerns, rehashing memories of an incident that took place on 18 October 1987, when an army private Adam Jaafar had run amok in Kuala Lumpur's Jalan Chow Kit. Armed with an M-16, Adam shot at buildings and a person was killed from a bullet that ricocheted.

SINGAPORE - A 25-year-old National University of Singapore (NUS) biology student was found dead at his desk after an all-nighter playing computer games, Shin Min Daily reported yesterday.

Third-year student Xu Kaixiang's body was found collapsed on the floor next to his home computer, which was still switched on.

When interviewed by the paper, his father said that his son had been holed up at home playing computer games recently as he did not have to attend lessons due to it being the school holidays.
